I'm listening to the Sun's Signature EP now after you mentioned it! It is wonderful isn't it? I do hope it is not her final musical statement π΅

16.02.2026 21:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's a real shame. They got better live as they gained confidence. The first time I saw them they supported OMD on the Dazzle Ships tour in '83. They had little stage presence if memory serves but made a wonderful noise πΆ πΆ

I also saw them two nights running on the Four-Calendar Cafe tour in '94. Cambridge and Norwich. Mesmerisingly beautiful performances πΆ πΆ π€
Although I saw them live 2 or 3 times in the early years, it wasn't until Heaven or Las Vegas onwards when they became one of my favourite bands. So with 3 albums and EP's it shouldn't be too hard, but it is π π π π

I've sorted my top ten but the last five is a case of any five from about twelve. Think I need to make a decision and stick to itπ
I like this Drew, don't hear that much from the ex Mrs Sylvian...
16.02.2026 12:48 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I sit (probaly alone) strongly in the Four-Calendar Cafe camp as my fave, Johnnie.
I always liked the Cocteau Twins & saw them live back in their early days, but they went up a gear for me with Blue Bell Knoll but once Heaven or Las Vegas was released I was totally hooked up to when they finished.
Thanks Davide
It's not easy three special albums, lots or EP's and singles plus different versions to consider. I'm getting there π¬
Planning underway for my first #ArtistFave15 in March.

Instrumental prog folk may not to everyone's liking but it's been on my wants list for a while
Apart from a South Korean repress in '93, it didn't reappear until 2019 when a 500 reissue was released followed by a second 300 reissue in 2022 πΆ πΈπͺ

8th May '81 on "The Art of Parties" tour. Japan were still playing early stuff like Rhodesia, Obscure Alternatives, Life In Tokyo, European Son but with their skills much more honed.
Modern English were excellent too playing early singles & tracks from "Mesh & Lace". Incredible night!
They were support to Japan at one of my all time favourite gigs at the UEA πΆ πΆ

What a incredible band the Wild Swans are, were and should have been...
Just checked on discogs. It is the same band, the ones you have are listed with this. Fabulous single well worth hearing!
