Look, I'm not saying students are perfect. Like the rest of us, they're in the process of becoming, and sometimes unskillful. But in my experience, faculty who've embraced Lepore's stance are often those who said something shitty and/or stupid to their students and are now feeling the consequences.

My optimism here is limited, but I really hope centrist institutions like universities and major news organizations understand that the plan is for the govt to dismantle them. They do not care if you fire your columnists or discipline staff for accurately quoting Kirk. They just want us all gone.

Remember: Civil discourse is when you encourage others to kill members of a marginalized group, violence is when you say you aren't sad that the guy who tried to get people to kill you is dead.
