I think the single best thing a community leader can do for the future of our scene right now is to lessen the stigma around failure. This includes modeling handling failure themselves AS WELL AS good community interactions (ie not calling other people washed for fucking up).

Something that I see being missed by a lot of people in this discussion is how different people have different goals, and we should accept that that leads to them interacting with the community or with tournaments differently. Might make a short discussion video about this when I have time

I was watching the latest video from Ezio about the skill gap between JP and the west, and I'm like... Who are they talking to? The absolute vast majority of players won't ever participate in a top-level tournament against JP players. Why is it a community issue that we must close that gap?

It was a gimmick tournament with 5 teams total, just a swiss bracket I think? We lost the first game but the opponents didn't do the gimmick correctly so it got counted as 3-0 for us. I think the second set we got a bye so it counted as a win too, and we lost every set after that.
