Surely fascism isn’t connected to any other groups or ideologies and just is this baffling enigma of an ideology that we all agree is bad and yet somehow it sticks around I wonder why that is oh well. Surely if we simply set aside our differences, we can all agree to fight fascism, no?

Surely fascism is just this weird, anomalous evil force that emerged fully-formed from sea foam and not an insidious right-wing tapestry that spins out like a spiderweb, from the rotting, demonic spiders of capitalism, nationalism, a prison-industrial complex born out of slavery, and a police state.

I’m going to need bigger margins inside though and I’m worried about the final book ending up too big. The bigger it gets, the more I’d have to charge for physical. But maybe I’ll cut some in editing. Idk yet.

I got a physical copy of my first draft so I could see what needed to change for the cover and there’s a few things to tweak, but it looks really good in person. The image is a bit too dark and the pig isn’t opaque enough but it mostly looks really pretty and is really cool to see in person.

You won't like my book. The main antagonist is a pseudo-science bullshit artist. Believe whatever you like but don't call it science and try to manipulate the vulnerable with pseudoscience. Energy is the capacity to do work and that's all it is.

Look, believe whatever you want, but if you try to follow me with posts about "energy" as some mystical force that heals and connects us and you include the hashtag "science" in said post and a pseudo-scientific article, I'm gonna block you.

I hit 5,000 words today on my sequel to The Trail while I'm waiting for feedback on the first book.

I didn't do any writing today, but I got my PC mostly set up and made good progress on making a book trailer for my book

I wrote a chapter for the Trail sequel today as well as a chapter for another writing project. I need the energy to unpack all my PC stuff and set it up, though.

If someone is seeking out a book at a bookstore, they’re clearly open to learning and broadening their horizons. They just don’t know something. And I’m sure they would appreciate learning it.

Maybe they grew up in a home where no one had time to read because everyone was working so much. Maybe all they hear is “You should read Jane Eyre” and so they assume she’s an author. Idk why it matters. I would simply say, Actually Jane Eyre is a book written by Charlotte Brontë and now they know

And lots of people grew up in homes where Jane Austen and Jane Eyre were never even mentioned. Maybe they first heard one of them in a cartoon or in college or in passing from a stranger. Maybe they grew up in a country where English works aren’t as talked about.
