Louis Fan has a film on iQIYI that is so bad, that you have to watch it to believe it. This 63 minutes of random vignetts put together, that tries to look cool, but is so incompetant that you will laugh from beginning to end. Did they forgot to shoot the full film? This is a 1 star with a heart!

Unity of Heroes had a very 00's feel. It had a lot of obivous wirefu that you saw in a lot of 00's Wuxia films, but Warriors of Nation had some pretty decent fight scenes. It was directed by Marco Mak, while mostly directed cheap shit, he was Tsui Hark editor and edited every Once Upon A Time film.

It was excellent. The main character looks like Jet Li's body double. This is the kind of film Jet Li would have made in the 90's.

I already have decided to watch this tonight. I was looking through Vincent Zhao on Letterboxd and read your review of it. What about Unity of Heroes?

It sucked. Don't watch it. Not only was it boring, with uinteresting characters (didn't recognize any of the actors), it kills itself by having a rape and murder scene in the middle of the film (by who? I guess one of the henchmen, everyone seems to kinda forget about it). It ends with a whimper.

(actually I kinda want to watch it out of curiosity, just look at this:)

Yeah, nobody actually saw The Return starring Ralph Fiennes as Odysseus. Bring me the fucking monsters and gods.

Yeah, they don't get many takes or chances for each of the shot. Like One More Shot they only had like 4 hours each night to shoot for was it three weeks or something like that. I do wonder how much practice the stunt team with the camera crew before they start shooting.

I just got 5 days left of my one year sub, so recommend me stuff I should watch. I have gotten most of the well known films like Blade of Fury, Eye for an Eye 2, The Bodyguard and The Comeback. Tell me about the lesser known stuff. Watched a d-grade IP Man film yesterday.

Sometimes I like to find some random shit on iQIYI. Today is this (different tile on Letterboxd than on iQIYI). Not a single review or rating. It's like being the first man on moon.

Of course a lot of films are shot in England, without being set England. But this isn't exactly shot in Pinewood studio, this is not Aliens or Star Wars, it's all shot on location. Did the first couple of films even have set built, it seem it was mostly location work.

I find it fascinating that they can find a way too shoot these films in the UK, especially because none of the films are actually set in England. You would think they would go to eastern Europe or south africa too shoot them. I wonder how they make London into a East Coast US city.

Jumper is an interesting trainwrack, and it's only 85 minutes so you don't feel you completly wastes your time.

I'm so excited for this. What unpopular opinion will Jordan have? Hollow Man in top 5? We don't even know what most people think about his Dutch films outside of Blackbook, so what Rutger Hauer do they prefer? This might be the most exciting draft this year. Will Showgirls get its due?

I just hope someone like 88 Films will do what they did for Van Damme films, and release some on blu-ray.

At least PC Game Pass is still cheaper than Ubisoft+ and EA Play+. I wouldn't pay the Ultimate price, but as I'm on PC I will suffer another month just so I can play Outer Worlds 2 and try Black Ops 7 (I'm not going to buy that one). But I will cancelle my subscript a lot more often.

I think America's political divide is all because it's pretty much a two party country. If people actually had a choice, and there was compromises. The repulicans doesn't really need to do any compromises to stay in power like they would in any European country.

This was actually one of the films Olyphant talked about in the Vanity Fair video where he reacts to scenes he has done. In his defense this came out the same year as season 1 of Justified, and he couldn't know it would be his signature role to play a lawman. He does play it different than Raylan.

This might actually kill Bioware and perhaps even Respawn, if Mass Effect 4 doesn't become a big hit, or Apex Legend gets a lot of players back. I'm afraid what they could do to future Battlefield games. I feel 6 is still safe, but what happens after that is a big question mark. Yearly Battlefield?

I hope this will be Xie Miao breakthrough into theatrical action films. He was so great in the Eye for an Eye films, Blade of Fury, Fight Against Evil films and Hunt The Wicked. I love to see when a kid actor becomes almost as great as the actor that played his father.

It was part of the Hong Kong Legends label for a reason. There are still a few films I owned on DVD from that label I still want on blu-ray. That is probably my most request, at least after The Killer is finally being released.

I think you can argue he has always done that. Del Toro loves monsters, and always been empathic to them. I think MIMIC is the exception. He has been building up through his career to do Frankenstein. It was what he was always meant to do.

That one I do love. I think I watched that before I looked for all HK John Woo films. That is kinda what you expect from Chow Yun-Fat Hollywood film produced by John Woo and Terence Chang. Even John Woo hasn't made as cool intro to a film as the opening with The Crystal Method playing in the club.

Will the mutual be suspended and Killer App (1998), Basements (1987) and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial (1988) and a bunch of other TV-movies be drafted?

Yeah, I remember it was kinda a disappointing, with the exception of the brutal car chase. Probably because I had just watched Hard Boiled and The Killer right before, and there was no way that could live up to it.
