I wonder if we could leverage ORCID to create Bluesky verification records for researchers. It would allow for scientists to become validated by their own body of work and is something already used in the community.

This MAGA/MAHA/Trump/RFK Jr/Dr Oz/Dr Bhattacharya press conference right now is quite possibly the worst press conference—from the viewpoints of medicine, public health, & medical ethics—that I’ve ever seen. People unfamiliar with science will say "well we have one paper not showing a link and another paper showing a link." This is misleading because the papers are NOT created equally. The scientific/methodological rigor of Ahlqvist is much stronger.

Currently, the strongest study we have that examined this is by Ahlqvist et al (2024), a study of 2.5 MILLION children...its a prospectively controlled study and adjusted for confounders (environment, genetic). It showed no association between acetaminophen in pregnancy & autism

the funny thing about the constant misappropriation of MLK is that the guy left a massive body of writing specifically aimed at explaining his views of those of the movement he represented to the broad public. it is extremely easy to know what the guy thought on a variety of subjects and yet
