I grew up in Omaha, and can’t believe the people I know who act like they grew up and live in rural America! No, you grew up in the big city, why are you wearing cowboy boots and talking like a farmer???

My mom introduced us to Star Trek, we all watched it from the beginning! I remember being so excited when my sociology teacher had us watch “Tomorrow is Yesterday” in class and write a paper on it, in 1984! 😁

I didn’t learn about John Brown until I was married. My husband and I drove to Nebraska City, and toured a museum nicknamed “John Brown’s cave”. Very interesting!

There’s a local sushi place here, and they make this incredible potato salad. YES, potato salad! I tell people this, and they just stare at me like I’ve gone crazy!

I was at an event, the person tasked to bring salad brought what she called her “famous Snickers salad.” It was cool whip and chunks of candy bar with some apples cut up. 🤮🤢

Irritation Against the Machine

I loved that show!!! My favorite ep. was the one where Pete and Pete’s bus drivers, who were dating, broke up. Young Pete’s driver took them on a tour of all the places they would go get coffee after dropping the kids off for field trips.

Lincoln, Nebraska has the National Roller Skating Museum. I’ve driven past it many times, but have never been in. But this post has me thinking! 😁

My husband had two strokes (alcohol related). Went to pick him up from the second one, and Billy Squire’s song The Stroke was on the radio. We laughed our asses off when I told him!!!
