Rwanda is extremely small, mind. I have heard border towns are similarly wealthy, as are the villages and smaller farms. Sure, it’s not Singapore, but this is a country that started from ground zero thirty years ago, so it’s a pretty good turnaround.

Purely anecdotally I can say they care a lot about business and making things look good. Kigali is the cleanest and most manicured city I’ve ever been to, and compared to other countries around it is very modern and rich. Terrible government, but definitely a prosperous country
