They have to cut at the beginning because she clearly doesn't land the throw! She's spilling food all over the place!

MiL just said she blames Joe Biden for not building out more EV charging infrastructure and if that's not a failure of messaging and the press to explain the BIL and IRA and that Trump killed them idk what is

I feel like this is just a layer 1 knowledge of 1950-1980, where there were a lot of independence movements happening, and a lot allied with "communism" but kinda just out of... Convenience? Like the American revolution was not pro-french style monarchy

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) β€” Alberto CastaΓ±eda MondragΓ³n says his memory was so jumbled after a beating by immigration officers that he initially could not remember he had a daughter and still struggles to recall treasured moments like the night he taught her to dance.

But the violence he endured last month in Minnesota while being detained is seared into his battered brain.

He remembers Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulling him from a friend’s car on Jan. 8 outside a St. Paul shopping center and throwing him to the ground, handcuffing him, then punching him and striking his head with a steel baton. He remembers being dragged into an SUV and taken to a detention facility, where he said he was beaten again.

He also remembers the emergency room and the intense pain from eight skull fractures and five life-threatening brain hemorrhages.

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man β€œpurposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

In the video the guy asks for breast milk and the shaman says "there's nothing I can do for you, you need antibiotics"

I got into an argument once with a guy because I was talking about making tomato sauce and said "and then you add the sofrito" and he said "uh don't you mean mirepoix, that's a thing the French invented" and I had to explain that in fact many cuisines use "diced aromatics" in their cooking

"the federal government is utterly unsavable as an institution" is not a leftwing opinion, it is a deeply conservative one

All by itself this is impeachable undermining in confidence in elections. Stuff like this is as profound an attack on the foundations of our democracy as any unrealizable threats about ICE at polling places.

Yeah it also consisted of USAID before Elon illegally destroyed it under the same philosophy as op

"it's actually ebolophilia" isn't a good arg, for you or matt. "A word is changing meaning in a way that I don't quite agree with" is loser behavior and and it was when arguing against the singular "they"

At this point I'm pretty convinced that whoever has a D next to their name Nov 2028 will win, so we might as well put up the best person to rid us of these troubles, and anything about "appealing to swing voters" is a useless exercise

04.02.2026 17:44 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

No I want you to present legislation destroying DHS and moving its constituent parts to other agencies and prosecuting ice and border patrol agents for crimes and violations

Guarantee this person has said something to effect of "why does it matter that Trump is breaking down norms and the rule of law, who cares about norms"

Honestly I'm probably butchering the theology here. Idk what the right denomination to be snarkily referring to here is. Maybe it's like "Catholicism but an amorphous group of online people form a Pope As Committee"

Unless you're paying attention to the wrong things, then that isn't Works (Ukraine, eg)

Everyone is guilty of original sin (voting) and only by Works (whatever someone else defines as Activism) may you cleanse yourself of Sin, but your Works may still prove to be insufficient to cleanse yourself (someone online might say they still hate you)

Indian independence; American CRM; Eastern european anti-communist protests; fall of Milosevic; fall of Salazar. Nonviolence is the more effective tactic for long-term success and stability

02.02.2026 16:17 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

What history shows time and time again is that peaceful protests and revolutions are far more effective, short and long term, at achieving their goals and creating lasting stability. Violent revolutions tend to descend into civil war with poor long-term stability
