Line drawing comic: YESTERDAY I HEARD THAT MY OLD FRIEND, DALTON WEBB, HAD DIED. IN THE SARDONIC WORLD OF 2000S CARTOONISTS ESCENESTERS, DALTON STUCK OUT AS THE KINDEST, SWEETEST, SOUL. WE HADNT HUnG OuT MUCH IN 10-15 YEARS. THE FIRST I KNEW OF DALTON, WE WERE IN THE SAME GROUP SHOW, AROUND 2001. I MET HIM AT A COMIC CON OUT OF TOWN. I JUST LOVED HIM INSTANTLY. HE EMINATED WARMTH AND CONSIDERATION. WE BECAME FRIENDS THAT MOMENT. WE WERE BOTH IN OUR MID 2OS AND OBSESSED WITH COMICS. BACK IN SEATTLE, DALTON JOINED THE COMIX GROUP / WAS PART OF. HE WAS HARD OF HEARING. I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT HOW TO COMMUNICATE SO HE COULD READ MY LIPS. EVEN WHEN WE COULDN'T TALK DUE TO CROWDS, WE HAD FUN JUST VIBING& COEX/STING. EVENTUALLY HE GOT A COCHLEAR IMPLANT. REMEMBER IT HELPED BUT CAME WITH ITS OWN CHALLENGES. HE WORKED ON A COMIC ABOUT IT. HE MADE LOTS OF COOL COMICS. HE WAS SO TALENTED. OVER THE NEXT MANY YEARS, DALTON & I HUNG OUT, SOMETIMES BY DESIGN AND SOMETIMES JUST IN THE SAME CIRCLES. DALTON WAS ALWAYS STYLISH AND DROVE A MOTORCYLE. HE WAS SUPER COOL.
YEARS PASSED, DALTON FELL IN LOVE, GOT MARRIED, HAD A KID, AND MOVED TO A NEARBY CITY. I BECAME A HOMEBODY. I NO LONGER SAW HIM IN PERSON BUT KEPT UP ON SOCIAL MEDIA. I KEPT UP ON HIS POSTS SHARING HIS GORGEOUS 'KIDLIT' ILLUSTRATIONS. RECENTLY HE SHARED ABOUT THE KIDS BOOK HE DREW GETTING PUBLISHED! WALLY MAMMOTH The Sled Race By Dalton Web I MISSED HIS POSTS ABOUT BEING SICK& IN THE HOSPITAL. THE NEWS HED PASSED WAS A SHOCK God I'm sorry I missed these posts-|could have at least sent funny memes & good wishes. WHEN SOMEONE DIES, SUDDENCY TIME IS A FLAT CIRCLE. EVEN IF you HAVEN'T SEEN SOmEONE IN YEARS, SUDDENLY YOU ARE BOTH IN YOUR 2OS AND YOU SAW THEM YESTERDAY. ANOTHER FRIEND FROM THAT OLD COMIX GROUP DIED FROM DRINKING 2 MONTHS AGO. ANOTHER MEMBER KILLED HIMSELF A FEW YEARS BACK THIS GRIEF KEEPS PILING UP TO THE POINT I CANT PROCESS. SO 1 DREW THIS COMIC TO WORK IT OUT. DALTON WEBB 1972- 2025 -Tatiana Gill
My old friend Dalton, brilliant illustrator, kindest friend, has died. It’s so sad, I’m so sad, as are so many people. The first thing anyone says, whether they knew him 30 years ago or today, is how kind he was — what an amazing legacy. Lots of love to his family and all his loved ones 💔

It's pretty ugly - my source refused to participate in the podcast so reporters used audio of her captured in public against her will.
the thing about the NYT releasing a podcast about trans healthcare is that if it’s not the story of how the alliance defending freedom captured the most influential liberal media outlet in the us and got it to provide a veneer of scientism to a bigoted religious crusade, what is it about?

After reviews in Germany and Utah came out supporting gender affirming care for trans youth, dead silence. You can be just as biased in what you don't cover as what you do.
