How yachty are we talking?

There has always been a rural/urban divide here, pre-1934 it was between Merchants vs the rest, the difference now is what it represents. The Tory strength on the Avalon is a holdover from Confederation, it seems like it has taken 76 years for ideology and left/right spectrum to move the lines.

My initial thought was "they should be forced to watch Threads" but would they even believe what the reality of a nuclear war would be? They're so delusional.

The Liberals have lost a lot of incumbents that have been stalwarts, while some are on the Avalon (as you rightfully pointed out should be safer) they're going to have a tough time winning them back in the rest of the province.

Did you hit them with a "hosta la vista" at least once?

I found this paper in an old family book. Not sure if it was my Grandfather's or Great-Grandfather's but I was surprised how much they obviously didn't like Coaker. Neither were involved in the fishery and were Catholic but was still unexpected.

Eric.... Eric, no. Do we need to have an intervention about what Yacht Rock actually is? There's not a single fool in this song!

ChatGPT Lost a Chess Game to an Atari 2600 And on the 'Beginner' difficulty level, too.

Deep Blue is 30 years old and was capable of defeating chess grand champions. It could be housed in a single cabinet.

ChatGPT spans untold data centers devouring massive amounts of electricity and it got its ass whipped by an 8 bit gaming console from the 1970s.

Where was that announced? I went through the road projects for 25/26 and 26/27 and didn't see anything.

Yup, but just pointing out that Canadians do not use the British spelling 100% of the time. Yoghurt, programme, aluminium, etc.

Things like Tire vs Tyre, Curb vs Kerb, come to mind pretty quickly where most use the American spelling

John Swartzwelder, Sage of β€œThe Simpsons” The first major interview with one of the most revered comedy writers of all time.

I can only suggest the wisdom from John Swartzwelder, writer from the Simpson's www.newyorker.com/culture/the-... "...writing is hard and rewriting is comparatively easy and fun..." I think comparatively is doing a lot of work in the sentence but the point stands.

@dieworkwear.bsky.social Hey Derek, I was wondering if it wasn't too much work for you could you repost your ebay guide? Had the thread saved on twitter but since getting off it I can't remember all the hints. Love your guidance, thanks for your help!

Talking the history of baseball in Newfoundland at work and decided to do a bit of research. While the first league was established in 1913 the first reference to the sport is in 1905... and is amazing.
