Genuinely shocked to read this paragraph in The Australian today, as a take on yesterday's racist, anti-immigrant marches.

This piece is so good that I feel weird and kind of gross for both discovering it four days after the fact and sharing it after midnight.

But anyway this is an exceptionally affecting piece of writing and @roycerk2.bsky.social is a very good journalist.

The University of Warwick has paid a lot of money, I'm guessing, for their internet banner ads on the Guardian and elsewhere.

But they can't spell "curiosity". This isn't a US-UK variant. They just, genuinely, have a massive spelling error in their banner ads.

No dairy is not vegan. Nor vego. Not Celiac or nut free. Potato buns give you everything but celiac, for the price of admission! And then you can charge a premium for the brioche if people really want it!
It helps stop people like me catching strays because the clarity isn't provided to kitchen.

And while i'm on my soap box: fucking please train your staff to know what no milk means. It doesn't mean yes to butter, or cheese. No dairy should cover it, and i'm grateful when asked if eggs are ok.
It's frustrating to do the whole dance only for butter to still be added. Or parmesan sprinkled.

And i'm lucky! If I get slipped some milk I get a dicky tummy and bad shits for a while. A whole milkshake will probably give me cramps.
I'm lucky to get an anaphylactic reaction.
This dance gives me a view into being Celiac, only an accident there will be outright painful and debilitating.
