I concur, very Waldenbooks font on those signs.

17.02.2026 18:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Of the many red flags along the way in Cerebus, one of the subtler ones was Elrod being retconned into being a magical side effect and poofed away. Sim was becoming too much of a Serious Author for such goofy fun characters.
17.02.2026 18:42 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Pick Elrod, and it's fun and weird for several hours, then Sim goes insane and you're excoriated for being female before Elrod vanishes in a puff of "I Am A Serious Writer" retcon smoke.

Colbert went on air and revealed it anyway.

I enjoyed the fun of the Super Bowl trailer, but this is great.

Interesting visual bit there to link the speech bubbles, like putting a (1/2) and (2/2) in them.

So all it does is tell you if someone handled the bill while eating fries.)
16.02.2026 20:53 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0(Iodine pens at least started off with a valid use case. One way to artificially weather counterfeit bills is to tumble them in a dryer with some poker chips or the like. Back when people used starch in laundry, this would get starch on the bills, which an iodine pen would pick up...)

15.02.2026 20:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Tater Tots are kinda polarizing, either you love 'em or wonder who even eats the things (as came up in a National Tater Tot Day post on a local news station's facebook page).
I will say that during the worst COVID shortages, Tater Tots were the last thing on the shelf in the frozen potato aisle.
Reactionaries believe change only makes things worse, and we should undo all recent changes.
Progressives believe change can make things better, and we should enact more changes.
Centrists don't want to undo changes or make new changes, which tends to at least side with the goals of reactionaries..
To quote Corporal Klinger on MASH: "If you have 'em as a kid, you don't have 'em as an adult. If you have 'em as an adult, you DON'T HAVE KIDS!"
