Yesterday I got one of those memory foam pillows that remembers your dreams. This morning, to receive the night’s chronicle, I did as instructed and pressed the foam’s locus against a sheet of paper. The text read, “Some things—like your dreams—are best forgotten.” Then the pillow melted.

Reading Lonesome Dove. 48 chapters in and loving it so far. Po Campo just ambled up six pages ago to steal the scene. He’s now made a claim that, considering his introduction, was so unexpected and so deranged that I maybe laughed the hardest I’ve ever laughed reading a book.

Saturday I smoked a little thai stick & rewatched the Big Lebowski. (Treat for attending No Kings.) Picked up on how often the Dude is repeating others’ phrases. The aggression bit from Bush always stuck out but he also repeats Walter, Maude, etc. The Dude’s too lazy for his own vocab. Great writing

Favorite things about the No Kings event I attended today—beyond how many people showed up in little Oshkosh, WI and the anti-authoritarian, communal spirit—were the Andor references (“I have friends everywhere”) and the four signs reading “Oligargle Deez Nuts”

As lines of dialogue delivered by actors on television shows go, "Everyday takes figurin' out all over again how to fuckin' live" is way up there
