13.11.2025 21:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is it smart politics though? It exposes the SNP's 'fixed budget' myth.
13.11.2025 17:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If anyone has any sense of the history of why the Act of Union happened they should be very, very unfuckingcomfortable with this turn of events.
13.11.2025 16:57 β π 18 π 4 π¬ 0 π 1Have written for the New Statesman about why, if he will not accept an apology, the BBC should welcome a Trump lawsuit. They should show guts and fight it because impartially matters and if they don't, they will have tacitly accepted a rewritten history.

I think now would be the ideal time for Scottish Labour to stick 2 fingers up to the UK leadership and adopt their own policies.

"Government vows to phase out animal tests as alternative methods come on stream with new strategy welcomed as βambitiousβ and βtimelyβ by animal welfare & life sciences organisations."
Plus new Β£75 million funding to bring forward new testing methods for health products
Can't believe you have left us hanging and not said where bus 10792 went!
11.11.2025 19:04 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I think this is currently the no 1 problem with social media, the number of people reacting to quotes from a speech/article/news item without any further research.
11.11.2025 15:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You probably think taking quotes of social media is the same as reading a speech in its entirety
11.11.2025 12:40 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0Important to be clear here that the proposed homes wouldn't mean demolishing the 18th century garden - it's just that they might possibly be visible from it. What appallingly selfish behaviour.

09.11.2025 14:04 β π 79 π 32 π¬ 0 π 0Polanski is being disingenuous. The white poppy is sold by the Peace Pledge Union, a strictly pacifist group. Pacifism is opposed to the existence of armed forces, and thus Green Party defence policy.
09.11.2025 11:39 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Andrew Lownie wrote an explosive book about Prince Andrew
Then came the backlash.
Legal threats. Journalists were told theyβd lose Palace access if they spoke to him
Anonymous social media accounts accused Lownie of visiting sex workers.

Distraction, and this new rubbish being spun that heβs protecting his familyβs mental health! What about the victims mental health, a woman died, they need the truth and justice.
08.11.2025 15:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think today is worse. I was born mid 60βs and age 40 til I realised how bigoted my views were. Seems dumb now but, I would use paki or chinky & not think it racist. Not defending it, it was wrong & racist but partly unintentional using language common on TV at the time. Today, thereβs no excuse.
07.11.2025 14:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Going down a rabbit hole of mistaken prison releases. They've definitely got up recently, but between 40 and 115 offenders were incorrectly released *every year* from 2011 to 2024 (so over 800 while the Tories were in government).
It just doesn't normally make the news

EU rejoin is a *current* Lib Dem policy and one that we ran on in 2024. Simply announcing it isn't an option for the UK. We don't get to tell the EU that we're rejoining without years of prior steps. It will need a careful pathway, such as the one set out below, to make it a reality.

03.11.2025 18:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Amid all the horror of the attack on Saturday we see the very, very best of human beings. The passengers who helped each other, the heroic train worker who put himself in harms way and undoubtedly saved lives.

A yellow warning sign on a beach reads βKEEP OUT β SEWAGE CONTAMINATED WATER. EXPOSURE MAY CAUSE ILLNESS.β Waves crash near a pier in the background. Overlaid text says: βThese Scottish beaches were officially rated βexcellentβ. But they were polluted with human and animal waste.β
"In the build up to the 2026 election we need to see all parties commit to full transparency about the scale of pollution in Scotland"

Nigel Farage says this summerβs Raise the Colours movement was led by βordinary peopleβ expressing their patriotism. Our reporters in five cities had a look and thatβs not what we found.

31.10.2025 23:00 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Having posts prioritised by algorithm is what they do on twitter and Facebook and is one of the reasons we left. If you foist it on us here, it will not be popular.
31.10.2025 23:04 β π 191 π 5 π¬ 6 π 0Amid all the fuss, remember that for much of the 1960s and 1970s, "the Spare" Andrew Windsor was just one unfortunate incident away from being the next king.
Hopefully, this appalling saga will lead to a proper national debate on our hereditary monarchy.
Long, long overdue.
