When my ancestors arrived in the mid-1800s any “free white person” could come to the US and become a citizen after 5 years of law abiding residence. When people say their families followed the law it matters what the law was at the time.

Sorry, this looks like the May 5 Boston protest video. I was at both. Yesterday’s was focused on the Pride March route and the Boston Common. Not City Hall Plaza. Both had tremendous turnout.
