I think a big problem to the game’s health/onboarding is the lack of catch-up mechanics/activities. For instance; a vaulted raid exotic is meta now? Exorbitant cost. Want the Ergo Sum catalyst? Nobody runs GM excision anymore. It’s hard to bring people into the game in part because of this.

Easily the best part about this app so far (apart from the lack of bots, content engagement farms, rage bait posts etc.) is that it doesn’t make my phone feel like it’s about to explode after 10 minutes of scrolling.

The average player skill-wise is lower than the skill required for average content. Instead of trying to bring themselves up to that threshold, they’d rather complain on forums to change the game to fit their skill level. This paradigm holds the game back from being its best self.
