Hello. I’m a real person, and as a real person, I’ve made some humorous observations about real life. Minneapolis, MN (He/Him)

Obviously lots of sadness around the Mayoral, but overall “Not as good as we hoped, not as bad as we feared” seems to be the prevailing interpretation.
Park Board much further left, but still with a contingent of cranks
City Council slightly more moderate (no longer a veto-proof progressive majority), but still largely progressive.
Mayor obviously stays as-is.
I have a lot of personal stake in some losses (Ward 5/7), but on the balance,
Thank you Ward 12, re-elected to minneapolis city council graphic with photo of Aurin.
We won every precinct with a total of 62.05% of the vote!
Thank you Ward 12, I look forward to representing and serving you for the next 4 years.
A progressive vision for supporting everyday people and working families is what I will work to deliver with you. 🤍
TL;DR: race is still anyone’s game, but it’s an uphill battle for non-Frey contenders after this first-round ballot drop.
05.11.2025 03:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I think the *majority* of Hampton/Davis votes will go to Fateh, but there’s a very strong (and not very online) contingent of “preferably not Frey, but definitely not Fateh” voters in our city. I wouldn’t be shocked if a significant percentage of Hampton voters in particular ranked Frey 2nd or 3rd.
