Hang in there, America. We've been through worse.
Burn in hell, Dick.

Marge will try to inherit the crown, but something tells me that won't work. (The same something that kept Kamala out of the White House.) We just have to survive until...you know..."it" happens.

07.11.2025 14:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Most Platner haters--many of whom learned about his candidacy this week--know damn well they wouldn't have recognized the tat as Nazi-linked before the news. Hypocritically, they scream Platner should have known. Because it's so much more plausible that a covert Nazi wants universal healthcare.
23.10.2025 02:11 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Yup see this just proves he's a real skinhead and a liability to the--what? ...hiking?
23.10.2025 02:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, sounds like you know him pretty well! Never mind that he's in the right side of every issue that matters to us BlueSky libs. If he's such a hateful piece of shit, why isn't he in Kegsbreath's party?
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
He's not a Nazi. It's completely obvious from everything he's said and done that he's not a Nazi. He is 100% on the right side of every issue regarding what he says. The problem is--he has a couple of options regarding his past conduct. Either he was one, or he is and was an idiot.
22.10.2025 22:25 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0It's more that the Democratic machine is scared of the talented, momentum-building candidate who's hostile to their interests. This is their kill shot. It's certainly working over here on BlueSky. With Mainers, not so much.
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
I'd agree if it were a swastika or even an iron cross. The pilers-on know damn well they wouldn't have clocked the symbol as Nazi related until the news broke. It's hypocritical. I believe him when he says he didn't recognize it, either.
Is Bernie cancelled now, too?
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
I'm with Bernie on this. The Dem machine is trying to squash him. You're helping.
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
Not so fast. Been to the Maine subreddit lately? Actual Mainers have been very forgiving. Bernie, too. Don't give up so easily.
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
Bernie still believes. So do I.
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
If you lived here as I do, you'd have some sense of the excitement Platner's generated. Packed events, yard signs up a year before the primaries. We'll be lucky if any of those other candidates get a fraction of Platner's enthusiasm.
23.10.2025 01:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yup Reddit is just a bunch of murder fans, it's true. They've got nothing on the elegant wags of BlueSky.
BTW Bernie is also with him still:
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
I guess you're gonna cancel Bernie too? He still stands with Platner:
www.axios.com/2025/10/22/m...
Maybe if it were a swastika or an iron cross. Most people pillorying him wouldn't have clocked the tattoo as anything more than a tough-guy skull before the news broke. I find it more believable that he didn't know, either, than that a covert hateful skinhead is running as a progressive Democrat.
23.10.2025 01:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yup, the town hall was packed, too. Come to /r/Maine on Reddit if you want to understand how actual Mainers are reacting to skullgate. It's pretty much the opposite of BlueSky. Also, before anyone says "of course it is", Maine went for Harris by seven points.
23.10.2025 01:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not necessarily. Most of the people screaming NAZI on here wouldn't have known that symbol before the news. It's not a swastika or even an iron cross. Is it so hard to believe he might never have found out, either? Do people here seriously think he's a covert skinhead running as a socialist?
23.10.2025 01:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Whether he's lying or not is a judgement call. I've watched many of his interviews. I found the apology convincing. You may disagree, but yelling at anyone who believes him, saying that THEY are Nazis themselves and are acting in bad faith, is silly. This is why we're considered purist scolds.
23.10.2025 01:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Correct, because he wasn't aware of its affiliations, any more than the overnight Nazi symbol experts who've decided he should've known better. If he knew it was what it was, he would've removed it already. Anyone who actually listens to him interview can tell he's not a hateful person.
23.10.2025 01:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If the Maine subreddit is any indication, he's still plenty viable. People actually from my state stand by him. We believe him when he says it was a mistake. And the haters know damn well they wouldn't have clocked the Nazi association themselves, any more than he did at the time.
23.10.2025 01:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0Very few of the wiseasses shitting on Graham Platner would have the slightest idea the tattoo was Nazi-affiliated if they hadn't read it in he news. THAT'S the hypocrisy that gets me. It's not a swastika or even an iron cross. It's completely believable that it just looked like a cool skull.
23.10.2025 00:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah no shit. Graham agrees. He's not a Nazi. And everyone gleefully piling on knows damn well they would not have recognized the symbol themselves. He didn't either. He did a stupid twenty years ago and didn't have to answer for it til now. And he has--convincingly and earnestly.
23.10.2025 00:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Did you people even watch the video? He's not a goddamned Nazi. Check out the /r/Maine subreddit. He's got a lot of support even after skullgate. And before you shit on Maine, we went for Harris by 7 points. This shitstorm has proven BlueSky users, too, are easily manipulated by headlines.
