He's not a Nazi. It's completely obvious from everything he's said and done that he's not a Nazi. He is 100% on the right side of every issue regarding what he says. The problem is--he has a couple of options regarding his past conduct. Either he was one, or he is and was an idiot.

If you lived here as I do, you'd have some sense of the excitement Platner's generated. Packed events, yard signs up a year before the primaries. We'll be lucky if any of those other candidates get a fraction of Platner's enthusiasm.

Whether he's lying or not is a judgement call. I've watched many of his interviews. I found the apology convincing. You may disagree, but yelling at anyone who believes him, saying that THEY are Nazis themselves and are acting in bad faith, is silly. This is why we're considered purist scolds.

Correct, because he wasn't aware of its affiliations, any more than the overnight Nazi symbol experts who've decided he should've known better. If he knew it was what it was, he would've removed it already. Anyone who actually listens to him interview can tell he's not a hateful person.
