Exactly!!! Fruit isn't an enemy! And neither is ice cream! It’s all about having everything in moderation and the bigger picture. One day, I’ll be the kind of healthcare provider who reminds patients that balance is key and it’s okay to enjoy food without feeling guilty

Hey Shaniya! Primary care is the perfect place to address the root causes for health issues and nutrition is a huge part of that. Its awesome that you're thinking about the whole body and a whole person approach. Your patients will be so lucky one day!!

As a future pharmacist, I’m going help guide my patients through the hype of fad diets with real, evidence based advice. Whether they’re on Carnivore, Keto, or just confused, I’ll be there to support their health through their medications and food. Nutrition matters!! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

If there's one thing I learned this semester, it is that this cannot be stressed enough! Cartoons are eye catching for children, and they may try to pull you in with "added vitamins" or "whole grains".... but what about all the bad additives? Labels tell the real story. Read it!

Hey Jazz, so true! People are easily influenced by brands they think are healthy... always read the label! And I totally agree, the credibility of the post is the most important part. We really have to consider everything when giving and receiving nutritional advice!

During finals, I usually eat out to avoid wasting groceries before heading home. But this time, I’m planning to buy just enough to meal prep for the week. More affordable & less waste. I don't have a food plan yet, but when I do I'll circle back with a recipe! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Hey Nancy, interesting article! My mom is an SLP and says how autism absolutely affects more than communication. Kids with ASD may avoid certain foods and struggle to finish meals. Like the article says, a flexible nutrition plan can help support their learning, behavior, and growth! Nice find.

Adults are just grown up kids! We benefit from going to bed before 10 to keep everything in check... mood, energy, hormones, and health. Kids need the same care (and even more sleep!) for growth, learning, and behavior. Good habits start early.

What parents need to know about nutrition and kids' sleep - CHOC - Children's health hub Discover how nutrition and kids' sleep are connected and how the right diet can improve your child's rest.

Future pharmacist here, I’d share this with parents because it connects the dots between sleep, nutrition, and child development. Its a reminder that healthy routines are essential for kids to thrive emotionally, mentally, and physically. Not to mention, an easy read too! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Making the switch to EVOO or coconut oil can make a big difference in your health. We learned about UPF's this week, and these less processed oils are rich in healthy fats, antioxidants, and have heart boosting benefits. Coming from a Mediterranean home, EVOO, is the best thing you can use!

Hey Emilia, I agree! I really found Tom's story to be a reminder that moderation and mindfulness make all the difference. Nutrition is so personal, and like Dr. Beckett said, it's not black and white! Whether it's a salad from Chick-fil-A or something else, its about finding what works for you.

Tom Carroll's story resonated with me and my belief in small, sustainable changes. These habits, like the Spicy Southwest Salad, helped him lose 132 pounds. It's a reminder that weight loss is different for everyone. Finding habits you enjoy and consistency is key! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Moderation is the key to healthy living. We've learned that obesity isn’t about just cutting things out... there are many levels to it, and finding that balance is key. I agree that even risky habits can be safe when approached in moderation!

I've learned that obesity is often connected to socioeconomic status. Those in poverty often lack access to healthy food & have to rely on unhealthy options. Corden’s thoughts on fat shaming made me reflect on how this impacts these individuals both mentally & physically. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Hey Lucky! I enjoy green smoothies and juices every now and then too. It's a great and easy way to get those veggies in and boost your nutrients. They’re refreshing and make eating greens a bit easier... I'd love to hear some recipes that you've made!

Healthy living isn’t just about what’s on your plate. It's about how you treat your body overall. From exercise to rest to mental health, true wellness is a full body approach. Take care of all parts of yourself!

When I toured apartments before moving to Boston, I couldnt believe my eyes. Many didnt have full kitchens, no ovens, & tiny fridges. It made me realize how hard it is for people to eat healthy when you cant store or cook fresh food. No wonder unhealthy eating is common! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Not only does cutting ultra-processed food boost energy levels and aid in weight management, but it also allows your body to absorb more essential vitamins and nutrients! The synthetic nutrients don't absorb as well as those from whole foods, which means you're missing out on real nourishment.

Hey Tanisha! Just looked through the article, and I’m with you! Canned foods are a great, convenient option as long as we pay attention to labels for added sugars or sodium. Definitely a smart way to get more nutrients in our diet!

Focus on what works for you, not the latest fad diet or what everyone else is doing. Your body is unique. Find what makes you feel good, and stick with that. Fad diets come and go, but consistency is key!

Hey Anmol, I had a friend who tried keto and lost weight quickly, but once he stopped, it was tough to keep the weight off. I think it's hard to maintain those strict carb limits long term, and often, the weight comes back after you reintroduce carbs. Sustainability seems to be the real challenge!

The Carnivore Diet is gaining popularity, and fast. While it seems tempting with promises of weight loss and mental clarity, I'm curious about its long term effects... especially on vitamins, fiber, and heart health. Has anyone tried it?

People talk so much about eating less, but it should really be about eating better. The latest fads focus on restriction, but true health comes from choosing nutrient dense foods that fuel your body, not cutting back. It’s quality over quantity!

Hey Julie! I love salmon too... I usually pan sear mine for that crispy outside while keeping it juicy inside. It's a perfect way to cook it with less oil. Throw it over arugula, cherry tomatoes, walnuts, and a lemon-olive oil dressing, and you’ve got a nutrient dense meal!

Improving nutrient density isn’t just about the food... it’s about habits and balance! I’m making time for more home cooked meals, adding whole foods to my plate, cutting back on processed snacks, and adding more water and tea for extra antioxidants and hydration. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
