This is a Hail Mary post – but I’ve got 2 weeks to try and find some funding to take a show abroad.

With ACE having been down I’ve been seeking generous patrons (+ making peace with delaying).

I’m loathe to reactivate Twitter… so if anyone has connections please shout and I’ll share more info.

Having one of those Elvanse days where I am hyper aware of my own heartbeat. It’s like being edged by a panic attack.

I’ve had to cut myself off after placing multiple Eurovision bets within 30 minutes of the show beginning.

Heartbreaking the first time and heartbreaking the second. ❤️

This weeks word count (so far…) has been objectively poor. A real case of “chipping away”. Maybe managed 1500ish meaningful words. Although did spend an afternoon plotting a sitcom pilot which was, well, generously let’s say not on the agenda.

Then the second is a new show in collaboration with Matt Glover (off of Sincere Deceivers) and Chris Riddell (off of being a highly successful illustrator). With this one we’re in the early stages of exploring, but have a really nice idea we’re fleshing out.

Currently I have two main writing projects. One - I am plodding through a draft of a novel manuscript. It’s so many words. Or more accurately it will eventually be so many words. At time of posting it’s just… some words. And a handful are good. Ish.

So I’m thinking I’m going to use this platform to chronicle and document my writing and how projects are going. Can I guarantee this will be interesting? No! Will I suddenly become a content producing machine?! Also no. But hopefully helps find the right audience and community on here? Maybe?

Waterloo is crawling with St George clad “protestors”. Disconcerting and alarming seeing them up close just brazenly walking around - not least because they all just seem so utterly benign. Their normality is what’s scary.

Saw this at the Fringe in 2023 and never forgot it. @davidnhead.bsky.social's run at the @arcolatheatre.bsky.social ends today, but I have faith it won't be too long before we see it again. It's a treat for the soul.

Last day of Distant Memories at @arcolatheatre.bsky.social today. 2 shows left. Feels very surreal. Very proud of it - but exhausted. Such a strange endeavour doing shows like this. Anyway… If this reaches you - do come along tonight at 7!

This continues to be one of the most insane and upsetting things that not enough people are talking about. I cannot believe that no one has stepped in to ensure the artists get their money back this year.
