Reluctantly now focused on public health & disability resources because the professions aren't. Also try to fit in some service design, outdoors and whimsy.

If you’re disabled and can’t be boots on the ground, that’s ok. Don’t let anyone make you feel guilt.
Resist in your own way. Share posts. Amplify hashtags.
Remember that rest is resistance.

Just finished up at the Evanston No Kings rally. It was safe, peaceful, and a show of solidarity by *at least* 1,000 people.
Go to your local protest. Don’t let this administration scare you. Stand with your community when our leaders won’t.
So back from the No Kings rally in St. Clair, PA. Was raining all morning but that didn’t stop us from turning out. It was estimated that we had over 150 people.

I worked at a job that was just OK with pretty messy leadership and I found it quite frustrating tho I liked the coworkers. Coworkers acted like it was heaven. Turns out everyplace else they worked before was toxic AF and straight up abusive. Our culture is so broken.
I had a terrible time choosing classes because they all sounded so interesting, I wanted to take them all! Totally off base from many others but I didn't grok that the time. Didn't have time/energy left for much social.
Intrinsic academic interest / motivation is not as common as young me thought.
Did the second front just stall out? Earlier forecasts showed the sky cover improving significantly after dark and now it's seeming pretty clouded in west of Baltimore / Washington and us aurora fans are bummed. Is it hopeless until moonrise at 11pm or might it move out?

Between mass disablement from Covid and immigrant workers being scared or detained/deported, the labor landscape in America is going to be bleak.

A large cottonwood tree stands out from a hillside of smaller trees, all of which are lit with the golden orange light of sunset
Seed pods from a marshside plant are in focus in front of a blurred background that's split between bluer ice and warmer orange of sunlight on trees.
Anyone who thinks trying to eke out a living on Mars is going to be better than this magical, perfect rock we call home is a complete moron. Earth is amazing and we need to protect it for ourselves and the other living things that call it home.

When it comes to long-term behaviour change, attractiveness might be the most overlooked design principle.
Looking past comfort and convenience, it employs beauty—art, lighting, nature, etc.—to create a user experience that entices people onto a bike, even when a car makes the most practical sense.
