There’s way too many storefronts because of natural corporate greed from landlords
We need a vacany tax on the landlords who sit on empty land and profit while our neighborhoods become worse.

08.02.2026 06:15 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Definitely in agreement with getting rid of the mall, but we should be ensuring the new development has a commitment to the communities best interest
-affordable housing
-spaces for small business owners
-a year round ice skating rink
There’s always plenty of money to do things that involve subjugating people domestically and abroad but somehow public transit, housing and social services always need to be “fiscally responsible” and cut service.

They really don’t have any power in this situation. There’s no protective status of the building and any investment in the Lloyd at this scale music to the city governments ears.

Yes you’re a braindead lib who supports bombing the 3rd world. Get the fuck out you’re no better than ICE agents.

Every mall I got footage from I was able to get to without a car in a reasonable time. Infact 2 of them had transit centers on site.

not only do they make local streets safer to bike and walk along, but they also make the neighborhood look better too!
I know transit is pretty bad across North America, but most of you have no excuse to not take transit at least once a week.
