4" strips of fabrics in fall forest colours piled haphazardly on a cutting board.
The strips have been sewn into tubes and are inside out. The 6 ft long strips are piled up on my ironing board.
The strips are turned right side out and laid across my ironing board. L>R. Golden yellow/brown, light green pattern, white pattern, orange and red pattern, dark green leaf pattern, bright pinky red foliage pattern, bright yellow, orange, sky blue.
One strip of each colour is woven with a 1" gap between. Five strips in each direction.
Progress report.
Where we're going and how we get there from here.

Large painting on a beige wall above a pale wooden floor.
A tangle of people and horses in shades of predominantly orange with shadows in blue and green. Looks like a battle.
The end of the gallery space set up for sound. Two 4 ft tall speakers about 8 ft apart with metallic red horns at the top. Between them are black receivers and disc players. Behind them on a white wall is a large painting 48x48? with swipes of bright cheering colours on a black background. In the foreground is a red Persian carpet.
The artist (Shinae Kim in orange dress) with an admirer, posing for a photo in front of a large painting, predominantly green with figures lounging and standing among the greenery.
Poster for the show with black print around a blue painting.

A Canadian two-dollar coin lying flat on a dark wooden surface. The coin is bimetallic, with a gold-coloured centre and a silver-coloured outer ring. In the centre is an engraved polar bear walking on ice, with mountains in the background. The outer ring is inscribed with the words โCANADAโ at the top and โ2 DOLLARSโ at the bottom. The coin is centered in the frame, with soft lighting and a slight vignette darkening the edges of the image.
On this day in 1996, the Toonie was introduced by the Government of Canada. While the name Nanuq (polar bear) was suggested to honour the Inuit and Canada's North, Toonie became commonplace. The bear on the Toonie was named Churchill by the Royal Canadian Mint.

Irony is Doug Ford distributed hundreds of millions of Skills Development dollars to his friends, including his dentist and a company making "adult entertainment".

Ironing board set up in front of the tv. The tv is on a dark wood cabinet. On the tv is the Canada vs France Olympic game. The ironing board has a blue floral cover. On top are three piles of 4 1/2" strips of fabric. Red on the far left, orange being worked on in the centre, a pile of yellow and green on the right. The iron is white and has a white cord trailing to an outlet on the left.
Double tasking.

A selection of different coloured fabrics cut into 4" strips, folded into bundles and arranged haphazardly on a cutting board with a plexiglass ruler and a rotary fabric cutter. The fabric colours are sky blue, dark green, light green, orange, orange with yellow and red foliage, pink/red, yellow and white with black line scribbles. ie, fall tree colours
And now for something completely different.

Sketch in black pen on white paper in a 9x12 spiral bound sketch book. A woman stands holding two babies, a toddler standing clutching her leg. She has a combative stance, holding the children protectively. Her other arm is extended, holds a sword. Two businessmen in suite are impaled on the blade of the sword. Sheโs standing in a street with office towers behind her. Her mouth is badly drawn, looks like a moustache.
Ok I cleaned it up a bit on the second sketch. Not sure where Iโm going with this. Oh and thatโs her mouth, not a moustache. I need to fix that next time.

Sketch black ink on paper, very rough. A woman holds two babies in one arm while a toddler clings to her leg. Her face is monstrous angry. She hold a sword with the bodies of two businessmen impaled on in. Two more bodies on a spear or pole behind her. Office towers line the street to the left. Larger angry vicious face behind her.
Canโt sleep. Those fuckers. All those poor children. Tear it all down. Weโre coming for them.
