It’s extremely cold outside (compared to our typical winter days.) It was 28F degrees, feels like 8F degrees. Wind gust was 33 mph🥶

We went to a nearest park on foot. The lake was covered with ice. There were a few spots that still had snow from the last week.

太陽が出ているものの、強風でかなり寒い。30分くらい散歩に行ったら、すっかり体の芯まで冷えてしまった。

週末過ぎて来週になったら、きっとあの人達みな何も無かったようにアレに擦り寄っていくんだろうな。

密かに期待裏切って欲しいけれど、無理だ。

土曜の昼過ぎから雪が降る予報だったのに、陽が落ちて6時過ぎても降らない。

ワンコのトイレに7時過ぎに出てみると雪がチラチラと。あぁ、この程度だったら月曜も大丈夫だ。

と思ったら。今、外で強風と降雪とで吹雪になってる😆　まぁ、積もっても5インチはいかないかな。明日朝は極寒予想。お隣りさんはどうしたものか、この吹雪の中で深夜に雪かき。明日まで待てばいいのに、ノアイースターじゃないんだから、と思う私。

粉雪なので、確か今雪かきすると楽かもしれない。でも吹雪いて絶対極寒のはず。

We were able to have a walk because the temperature went up above 32 F degrees around noon. Sunny and mild wind. It was nice.

今週末にストームが来て、そこから気温が下がりっぱなしになるらしいので、フロスト・ネットを買ってこようと計画中。

獅子頭サザンカにはまだ幾つか蕾が残っているので、できれば凍り落ちて欲しくない。パンジーも、今年は気温変化が激しくてみすぼらしくなっていて、春まで保つのかどうか。鉢植えのアザレアは、ちょっと納屋に避難しようかな。

House burping がトレンドになっている、て言うのでネットで見てみた。

これって日本でもやるよね？ただ、毎日では無いけれど。日本の場合は湿気が高いのでカビを嫌って、お風呂周りはほぼ毎日窓が空いてたな、うちは。

アメリカに来てすぐの頃に似たような事をやっていたら夫に嫌がられて止めた😢　今が説得＆再開始タイミングかも。私、気管支弱いし。

Good morning. Outside is 21F degrees, which is very rare for our area.

The same heater temperature setting, but definitely the room air seems colder than usual days. Ellie agrees.

I’m thinking what seeds I want to plant this spring. I’m in zone 8b. My preference is low maintenance, long blooming season, and not too tall plants. Dog safe is a plus. I’m saw them in planters, not on the ground. I probably need to protect them from squirrels.

Any recommendations is welcome.

Today was my third time platelets donation at @americanredcross.bsky.social. Since enough time has passed from my last donation, I donated plasma as well.

It’s nice to know that my last blood donation arrived to the final destination.

I have a platelets donation appointment this weekend. I hope it’ll be successful, and somehow I could send positive energy to my colleague who is battling with cancer…💝 🙏

I went to platelets donation for the 2nd time, the day after air travel for Thanksgiving. Then, my blood was flagged😭 I don’t know what was wrong, whether my body was exhausted or traveling with high altitude affected to something.

It’s been six weeks, and now my eligibility is finally reinstated🩷
