It is encouraging to see both sides attempting to resolve this strike, but the impacts are still being felt by businesses who have no access to government liquor & cannabis supply.
We remain hopeful that this strike can be resolved in a manner that is fair to taxpayers.

Congratulations @emilylowan.bsky.social on becoming leader of the BC Greens!
CFIB looks forward to working with you to help local businesses thrive.
π¨ A record-setting $11.6B deficit should be a wake-up call.
The provinceβs finances are deteriorating at a moment when small businesses need stability.
Small business owners are tightening their belts and making hard choices every day. They expect government to show the same restraint. #bcpoli
Iβm sorry to hear this, Simon! Wishing you well.

π BC's Monthly Business Barometer update:
Summer is normally peak season for many businesses, but BC small business confidence slipped backwards in July, bucking national trends.
That's a concerning sign while other provinces are trending upwards. #bcpoli
"CFIB wants WorkSafeBC to follow the lead of ICBC and BC Hydro and return some of that surplus to ratepayers.
βWe know that other provinces, such as Ontario, Manitoba, have been able to keep rates stable and return funds back to the employers that paid into it.β"

It was a pleasure to be on the Adam Stirling show to talk about some needed improvements to BC's internal trade legislation!

So when you shop, do it at your local small business. β€οΈ
