I’ve been futzing with hyprland and noticed some weird vibes on Reddit but that drew devault piece was uh… eye opening. Are you running Linux on desktop full time?

Minor disagreement and then I’ll see you at Buffalo Wild Wings, I don’t think this is a capitalism thing, I think it’s a Strauss-Howe thing and we’re at the nadir.

To wit, they’re mostly looking at nuclear plants. The AI companies want consistency on their power availability; it’d be cool to see a solar/battery setup but nuclear probably makes more sense at this moment. I’m pretty negative on AI fwiw but what they’re doing with power cos is interesting.

The new move is to build these things inside the perimeter of the plant so that they’re not grid connected. It’s the reason why companies like Constellation have seen their stock soar in the last ~year and a half.

I feel like this is a stalking horse for never doing anything about the problem of trading on material nonpublic information. I would love to see pushback on a common sense bill that e.g., defined you all as SEC access persons and set an excessive trading threshold and minimum holding periods.

Why not filter these in the client, as a fan of stacked hacks πŸ˜‰

Is this your first one? I just rebuilt a Traeger as my first pellet smoker, they’re super fun. Wife got into it after the first meal πŸ˜€

As someone who subjected their brain to many Theissen pieces over the years (ill advised), this doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.

I too have forgotten George W polling at 92% across all party voters [in my dreams]

🀣🀣🀣 so much arcane behavior in phone systems and the people who use(d) them

So theres 1 phone number for the house, everyone uses it, only one person can talk at a time on it, it’s just the phone app part of your phone, oh and if anyone in the house wants to use the Internet, no one can use the phone.

Raise your hand if you remember universities in the early-mid aughts warning incoming freshmen they might have to go to India for work but there would always be jobs somewhere πŸ™Œ

It’s weird because they’re interviewing single person business owners and one sort of bewildering story that seems half-told. And then quoting someone with an HR background that clearly interpreted it as taking extended time off between jobs.

You’re right but the republicans will also harm more people without reconciliation. They would have with this bill if not for the parliamentarian and reconciliation. So that’s the rub. If Dems cross the rubicon they better use it to make the party wildly popular.

Am I losing my mind or is the black line under the nonactive tab in these examples?

A Democrat who opposes direct intervention strongly will win the nomination in 2028 if it comes to pass. And direct intervention here will almost certainly be unpopular by the time it matters.

This is why living by the poll is such a bad idea. Skate to where the puck is going.

Yeah thank you, aero was itself iterative of aqua, and due to the tire fire that is windows ui frameworks, it was a visual nightmare with mismatched visuals app to app. Whereas this will look more cohesive on day one than aero ever was, let alone months/a year in

I mean I applaud your moral unambiguity here for sure, but also, there’s pretty obvious reasons that agents should need to identify that anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together understands, and comparing to citizens choosing to wear medical masks is super bad faith

I really hope Nintendo does more with the phone app/games integration. Feel like you could do something really fun with Luigi’s Mansion here.

New Yorkers trying to own the order of bacon/egg/cheese (let alone the concept) is extremely on brand.

I think being an asshole was a more defensible position, because β€œsome software was used for intellectual property rights violations so you can’t argue that you, an unassociated bystander, have property rights” is delulu.

This came out of Facebook, it was the internal motto until it changed to β€œmove fast with stable infrastructure” in 2014.

IMO this mentality was always overstated and applied narrowly. In b2b mistakes confirm bias towards larger companies so even more important not to screw up flippantly.

I read/watched this morning, and then found the local grocery store celebrating the birthday of this song in the afternoon.

Today was a good day.

It’s a rebranded flat tax without the normal stipend that accompanies it (in theory) to offset the lowest tax bands. It would be wildly unpopular in practice.
