I get that, and as a trans woman I am furious at the feds, but the alternative is ceasing care for all kids at the hospital and everyone there being unable to practice public medicine, either permanently or until another president/court could force CMS to reinstate their ability to be reimbursed.

Call your federal and state representatives. Apply consumer pressure to companies whose corporate support can lessen Children’s dependence on federal funding. Children’s is one of the best reasons to be proud of Minnesota, and we have to help keep it robust and safe from Trumpism.

Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is a cause I would go to battle for. They provide extraordinary care with extraordinary compassion, and they won’t do this unless they’re left with no choice whatsoever. Let’s do whatever it takes to make sure they have a choice.

Children’s has fought against this longer than most. This is very upsetting news for a lot of kids, it will absolutely hurt the mental health of them and their families, and I expect every MN politician to either fight fed transphobia or find a new job.
