This public meeting, at 8:30pm at Maria Assumpta Hall, Ennis, will hear from two journalists. Ali Abunimah is a US-based author, activist and co-founder of Electronic Intifada. Abubaker Abed became an 'accidental war correspondent' in Gaza and now lives in Ireland.

Ireland does make electricity cleanly, but big tech is buying up wind & solar farms that would otherwise be used for homes, schools, EVs etc. And thatโs still just a fraction of data centresโ huge energy demands. Much of their power comes from burning fossil fuels, including on-site gas turbines.
