Then there are those folks to try to conjure Goetic demons. These demons are especially unpredictable, crafty, often malicious. It's pretty much a guarantee that attempting to work with a Goetic demon will result in some kind of tragedy or calamity. Such calamities range from:

Another of our MCs, a witch, was experimenting with inverse magic. She attempted to draw inverse energy into a plate of wood, but a distraction caused her to slip up, and the plate erupted into flames that caught the rest of the table on fire. Immense panic ensued lol. (2/4)

#Febchantment Time for an anecdote or two! One of our MCs is a newly hired paranormal investigator who works with sigil magic. During a demon encounter, she drew the sigil for a solar spell wrong, which caused the direction of the spell to reverse back onto her. She was blind for three hours. (1/4)

Ollie's personality sprouted from a contestant I saw on Beauty and the Geek way back when. 😆 There's a little bit of me in there in terms of his anxiety. And the rest is simply him. (2/3)

When asked for his last name, he says it's Kleets (allegedly). This is in reference to the cleats that Rhoda wore on her shows in the movie The Bad Seed. Then there's simply aspects of Vince's personality that came out of the woodwork on their own. (2/3)

#Febchantment Hmmm... I would say it takes years of practice and more importantly experience. As one of my MCs finds out, you can learn and achieve all the magical capabilities you want, but you'll find yourself in trouble often if you don't gain some wisdom along the way with it.

Goetic demons come from another plane of existence, so they seemingly have capabilities that are impossible, e.g., a Goetic demon CAN teleport itself and other beings (really, they're just hopping between planes of reality). Fortunately, Goetic demons can be tethered to seals or restrained. (2/2)

#Febchantment When you think about it, it's mostly glorified telekinesis. Magic can be used to manipulate objects and elements (e.g., you can levitate something by mentally influencing gravity). So nobody can poof an apple into existence or, say, teleport. Unless they're a Goetic demon. (1/2)

#Febchantment Very simply speaking: point talisman object at thing and think very hard. 😂 Sigils work slightly differently, in that first they must be drawn either on something or in the air, then tapped or destroyed (ripped, cracked, burned, etc.) to activate the spell.

#WIPLash No idea when this will ever happen, but I have a Google scrap document of ideas and plans for a story that I want to write where the MC gets realistically absorbed into a cult. It's scary how it can happen and how cultish beliefs can escalate, and I want to dive into a story like that.

Sigils are another means of focusing concentration. Supernatural investigators rely on sigils as a more efficient spell casting method. Most investigators carry a pocket Grimoire that has a standard selection of sigils to be referenced, but they must practice drawing the sigil correctly. (2/2)

#Febchantment Talismans! Yeah that's basically our arcane focus. 😂 Purposeful concentration placed on an object can convert it into a talisman, which the caster uses to focus their intentions more sharply. It takes several minutes to convert an object into a talisman. There's also sigils... (1/2)

Ollie is not a fighter by any means. He's lightweight so often physically disadvantaged. If he has to defend himself, he has to get creative. In some cases, that means grabbing the nearest object and throwing it lol. (2/2)
