Me: Did you hear that Dad?
Dad: Not at all
Me: OK, they’re going to give you an enema
Dad:(outraged/bewildered tone) An animal?!

Me: it’s a Greek cheese. It’s nice. Have you not had halloumi when you were in Greece?

There’s no right answer as a school because the issue is a societal one about fairness

I take that point. But at university I felt not having been skiing, riding, surfing, trips abroad or any of those activities that rely on disposable income. In the end as headteacher I thought “If it’s good enough for rich kids I want my kids to have the chance too”

I agonised over this as a headteacher. But I can see for some families that they can’t afford for all of them to go skiing but they can afford to send one child.

I didn’t realise Thatcher hated SAW.

This is so weird; I thought it was just me in a tricky mood but this morning I reached a “I’ve had enough of this performative rubbish” moment and switched it off

Love this.

I really enjoyed it and much more so because of the chimp concept. It just works
