As long as once I’m a mouse, I get to go live in a Richard Scarry-esq village, I’ll be good.

A slough cuts into this nature preserve. The bank closest to where I’m standing has native plants building up a barrier between myself and the water. Trees line the water way as well on my side of the slough. The sky is a soft blue with whispy light clouds

On the top of the hill, the brown grasses of summer are littered with purples, blues and yellows of wildflowers. At the bottom of the hill you can see the thick morning fog has yet to burn off in this valley

This nature preserve looks like a typical green open field with some pools of water. But it’s actually supposed to help with the fish population in an attempt to copy what the indigenous people were doing. It’s a very cool project. When you’re standing at this part of the trail you’re looking out to the hills that bowl the town in almost.

Ever lasting peas with their bright purple blooms cover the bottom of this hillside. As you look up the hill there are trees covering the top portion. Fun fact, I’m pulled over on the side of the road to take this photo because one of my kids got car sick. I made the most of it by getting this shot.
