And again, a pattern of putting out statements accusing people of serious Federal crimes and then releasing them hours or days or weeks later with no charges. And no retraction.

Yale lab reports mass killings in Sudan, calls for student activism The Humanitarian Research Lab was told this week that over 10,000 people in Sudan were killed within three days.

β€œIndividuals on the ground sent a message that reached us Monday morning that 1,200 were dead,” Nathaniel Raymond, the lab’s executive director, said. β€œBy that evening, they said 10,000. By Tuesday, we couldn’t reach them anymore. We assume our ground contacts are dead.”

I don't think we should talk about climate change anymore, we should talk about kitchen-table issues. Like how climate change will destroy your kitchen table and everything else you have

They see a lack of income as a moral failing, so they treat those less fortunate than them as less than human, undeserving of basic decency or even the ability to enjoy a goddamn snack or nice food every once in a while. To them, if you don't make a living wage, life is meant to be miserable.

29.10.2025 12:09 β€” πŸ‘ 24    πŸ” 6    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

It's pretty clear that they hate it so much because they want low income people to be as miserable as possible. They don't want them to have choices. They want them to suffer, because they feel they don't deserve to eat if they can't afford it.

I am once again pissed beyond belief at some people's absolute delight at the loss of SNAP benefits, which will affect millions of people.

They claim that they're so happy because they're upset that people on benefits buy snacks and unhealthy foods.

Come on. We know the real reason.

Have reached the "bought child locks for the cabinets" stage of cat guardianship, and subsequently, the "watching cat figure out/open the child locks on the cabinets" stage. RIP, our toilet paper supply.

gone. just fucking gone. all that beauty, all that history.

destroyed, just so that a broken-inside narcissist fuckstain can build his tacky dance hall for billionaires.

what a fucking travesty.

our next Democratic president is going to have a lot of cleanup work to do β€” but one of the many things they must campaign on is a vow to put all this shit back the way it was before Cankles McRottinghand assaulted it. not just the Epstein Ballroom, but also the parking lot where our beloved Rose Garden used to be.

oh, and how about next time, we actually hold Little Donny Fuckface accountable for his crimes, and not sleepwalk for three years until it’s too late to do anything.

I HAVE A TREMENDOUS IDEA: HOW ABOUT THE NEXT DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT NOT JUST REBUILD ALL THE SHIT DONNY DESTROYED, BUT ALSO ACTUALLY HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS CRIMES β€” AND LOCK HIM THE FUCK UP ALREADY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO MY POST, WHICH YOU CAN READ HERE: bit.ly/4hrlTV9

Day 24 of Prez’s shutdown. This is very stressful for federal workers. If you have the resources, take a fed for coffee, buy them lunch, or have them over to watch a game. Kindness helps

Just in from two SF No Kings events (Ocean Beach and then a colossal march and rally downtown). So many good signs, so much devotion to justice, liberty, human rights, and Jesus lord the one part of the US economy that must be booming right now: INFLATABLE critter costumes.

This isn’t the whole story, of course – but if it’s not at the core of your story, you’re on the wrong track.

Add β€œOnce democracy made it possible for women to threaten patriarchal domination and for queer people to publicly affirm their identity” – and we’re already very, very close.

Finally read "On Tyranny" and it is quite depressing to think of how the cult like mentality results in everyday professionals sliding slowly into fascism. A brief glance at political comments anywhere online would tell you there are plenty of Nazis-in-training.

Yeah, I feel this. I keep thinking that while 2016-2020 was a bad wild ride of incompetence and norm-bending, it wasn't the unhinged cruelty and casual authoritarianism we see now. I suppose the time wasted not defending democracy/holding him accountable does that.

A huge chonk of a fluffy cat sitting on a table near an open fire. The cat is cream and grey and appears to be shaped like a barrel in a fur coat. They are scowling fiercely with their moustache and bewhiskered ears apparently flowing back into the cold wind. There's a definite vibe that this villainous cat twirls their moustache as they evict orphans into the aforementioned blizzard and think Scrooge was an easy-going lightweight. They are magnificent.

Sometimes I think the worst thing about losing our democracy is that we are losing it to some of the dumbest/least competent people. They claim to have God and the founding fathers on their side when it's clear they've never read a Bible or the Constitution, and have a stunning lack of education.
