Yeah, 100%. Problem is, the selective abandonment of trust arises in large parts out of a groomed partisanship so strong that anything their side does is trusted and anything the "other side" does isn't. It is cult/war logic justifying everything (Good Guys/Bad Guys). Really difficult to disrupt.

I cannot disagree. I've played Kingdom soooo much, with so many different vibes.

In Germany where The Dark Eye was hugely more popular than DnD (before streaming and Stranger Things and such), roll under was the norm, and a Natural 1 held that position--which coincidentally lined up with a 1 being the highest grade in school (comparable to an A). Now though? Who knows :)
