For me, I've just personally become exhausted with the "hubris is a heroic tragic flaw" angle. It's just a bad flaw, it's not tragically heroic.

Yes! I still love so much about Kvothe and that series, but that's also become my take. Though I'm 99% certain that Pat was setting Kvothe up to look like a hero and then turn out to have been the tragic figure/villain all along, so the third book might bring it all together, if it ever comes out.

That kind of reminds me of the Netflix show Russian Doll. It was really good!

Copilot and the Microsoft Edge browser. They've built "direct this link to Edge" into the code in some programs like Outlook. Now, if I want an email link to open in another browser, I need to manually copy and paste the link. I may have some regrets.

I've taken this class in the past! It was a great time and very helpful for my own worldbuilding. I highly recommend it for sci-fi and fantasy writers who are working on political worldbuilding especially. #WritingCommunity #AmWritingFantasy

Yes, leatherwork is absolutely labor intensive. My main calculus for why pre-industrial leatherwork is less intensive is because leather material grows itself in the wild, and you can hunt it instead of growing it yourself. Linen needs a full summer of farm labor just to get the fibers.

Yes! Worldbuilding through textile arts is my jam, and textile arts remain so culturally undervalued that it impacts peoples' worldbuilding. So many just don't seem to grasp that making pre-industrial leather was less labor-intensive than pre-industrial fabric.
