And then with a couple of minutes left, @amazonprime.bsky.social flashes the final score on the TV.

Way to go spoiling the end of the game for us.

My spouse and I have talked about leaving Utah off and on. The kids are in school and tied to their friends. We don't want to take them away from that. And we have many ties too with community and friends.

I just wish the dominant religion and political drama was not a thing.

My kids informed me after that they hear the "f-word" 100x between classes.

Also the taxi scene with the pin up girls and scene where they accuse each other of fondling themselves was not censored.

I thought about this poster recently.

I watched someone insist that the TV be muted for their young teenager during the part of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles when Steve Martin gets angry at the airport.

Yet this teen loves to watch Friends with all the sex and innuendo.

Was this before or after the rise and fall of CleanFlicks (I think that was the name)?

Does Jesus Love White Men More than Child Victims? - Exponent II Blog If the church is literally Jesus and this is how abuse is handled systemically throughout the church, then Jesus cares more about white men than he does about children and victims.

“I’m so sick of being taught supposed eternal gospel principles in Sunday School lessons, only for the church as a whole to wildly ignore its own teachings whenever it serves them.”

I shared this where Mormon family and friends will see it. Denial harms children. Let them be mad at me. Worth it.

I have friends who were victims of child abuse.

After deconstructing religion, I am bothered that parents (and relatives who knew) can be so church (cult) broke that they don't report the abuse either.

I now generally consider them just as guilty as church leaders.
