Definitely sounds like a nice memory! This is Pikes Peak so we cheated and drove up. But he got lots of happy pets from people at the top.

This was our test run before trying out camping so I guess I’ll have to keep that tip in mind. Haha

Oh gosh that’s good to know! Not that we will be hiking anything that ambitious any time soon. lol

For non Coloradans etc this is from the top of Pikes Peak, where you can drive up to 14,115 ft.

Do some dogs climb 14ers? Lol I have no idea tbh. We aren’t high climbing Coloradans atm lol

They were! I haven’t been to a game since I was pregnant with my 8 year old who sat next to me the whole time.

I totally agree! I think the wider social issue is that we can't force parents to be involved like that so it strikes me as a valid concern in terms of cultural formation that if young men don't have those influences in their life to talk to they can be easily pulled into the "manoshpere" culture.

this was at a Sherwin Williams btw - not just a random hardware store - like the whole benefit of shopping at a place like that used to be that the people who worked there were trained to specialize in those specific supposedly higher quality products and offer individualized help/advice etc

and at some point this is totally a management issue, so it's not really a gen z problem - like it's not their fault if they aren't trained anymore to know stuff or help customers etc - it's just crazy how much has broken down in our lifetimes

omg we just has this experience buying paint when asking the sales rep questions about paint levels and colors and she was offended we'd even think she'd know anything about it. Her response was "I just mix the paint" as if that's totally separate from knowing how the paint gets used.

I am happy for Meghan but also selfishly I would like a little less publicity for that wait list because some of us need to catch a break on actually being able to order some! lol Guess I will definitely have to set 10 alarms and keep that store on refresh for the next drop #sussexsquad

Also, I think people on here are maybe not super aware at just how many kids are legitimately parented by the algorithms atp. That is their primary formation and source of advice or morals etc. So I don't think the flippant throw away lines are really understanding the social scope of the issue.

I know, right? My kids get a healthy amount of good messages somehow (I guess from both us and the media we direct them towards) so they are all like "but why don't you work?" to me which I guess is better than them assuming women usually don't lol but we are still working on true parity here. lol
