Workshopcraft - Pirateer: High Seas - November 2025

I asked to be referred, got referred, was sent the form, filled half of it in and then put it in a drawer and it ceased to exist for 3 months until I got a letter saying I was no longer on referral list. Did I pass? 😇

i've been to A&E and MAU in the last month and there are foreign doctors and nurses everywhere looking after patients. I'm incredibly greatful they are there. Anyone that wants to kick out all the immigrants is insane and needs to look at what is actually happening right now. It's a slippery slope

last year my job was back end developer and my hobby was game developer. This month I can't even build a simple game I have a complete game loop, art assets and vision for how the game would look and feel. I don't know how to get back to me. Thinking literally hurts.

I was looking at @kenney.nl's website to see what kind of bundles there was and spotted the ship mixer and got very excited until I realised it was a 2d space ship mixer, not a 3D sailing ship mixer. I guess i'll get back to building that tool then

We had a vic-20 but I was like 10 at the time. It wasn't until a few years later when we got an Amstrad cpc 6128 I was clever enough to start breaking copy protection on games by copying Thrust onto a 3" floppy disk so that I only had to load the levels from tape. :)

Finally a tool I can use to block out trailers and cut scenes that I can afford :P

How the job search is going right now

It's been 2 weeks since I had a TIA( mini stroke ). 15 minutes after it started it ended and I felt fine. The first week was also fine. No issues. Lots of tests. All good. Second week, migranes, brain fog, mood swings, short tempered, slower solving problems. This could take time to recover.

I tried running the latest No Man's Sky on my laptop. Unsurprisingly, because I opted for a screen I could use for art rather than an Nvidia RTX beastie, it simply fails to load the game. I guess i'll be stuck on steamdeck(not terrible) until I get something beefier

Sooo. Having a TIA (mini stroke) stops me working for a month(no driving). I am fine. this is incentive to make real change. Don't be like me. It went away so I ignored it for 4 days. The NHS looked after me. I can still work on software and games!

tbh that's me on the right if someone asks me if I ever use any AI for anything... 🤣

Completed 10 levels of fun for my js13k entry. Just added Controller and sound effect support. Now I just need to create some pictures for the submission :D
