When I was 4, I was obsessed with with Grover. I used a black permanent laundry marker to draw “fur” all over my arms and legs to look like him. I made a bunch of noise trying to wash it off when my mom heard me and was like “what in the HELL?” My dad basically bathed me in turpentine to get it off.

And then once you get the stupid thing, you can’t use it for ID! Like, WHY!? It has my photo, my address and I had to submit multiple government documents and IDs to get it, but it’s not good enough to, say, present as ID for picking up mail!

Now I’m going to have to just show up at a Service Ontario tomorrow morning an be prepared to wait because they aren’t booking appointments until Jan. 13. I hate everything.

I don’t have a driver’s licence or a photo ID other than a passport so it’s extra annoying.

This is why I don’t take care of myself, tbqh.

The hoops they make you jump through to get a new health card in this province when you need to do it in person because you need a photo is insane!

That’s the nature of a live comedy show, I think.

But I just think about all the little weirdos watching it and developing their sense of humour, their comedy chops and dreaming about becoming comedy writers or performers or what have you. It’s no longer FOR ME the way it once was. I still find plenty to laugh at some weeks, not so much on others.

This is why I don’t respond when I see people older than me complaining about Saturday Night Live being unfunny every year. That is a thing that has been said about the show every year since its inception. I watch it now and it doesn’t hit like it did when I was in high school and OBSESSED.

If you ask me, I think Tarantino is in his head about his weird decision to stop making movies after whatever his next one will be.

He’s also unloaded on older directors. Has made clear he doesn’t think Scorsese is any good anymore. Sorry, but Killers of the Flower Moon was really strong. And Wolf of Wall Street and the Departed are among his best.

Had no idea Lillard caught a stray in all this shit. He’s an interesting actor and it’s been great seeing him in shows lately. My controversial take is that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is Not Very Good and the back half of Tarantino’s work has fallen off — maybe due to the death of Sally Menke.

I have never in my life struggled to compose an email. These “helpful” suggestions do nothing but slow me down and irritate me.
