I work with a global team and someone once asked me “Is it true in the US sometimes you call your parents’ friends or your friends’ parents your aunt or uncle???”

I have mild speech-based synesthesia and aphantasia. I see shapes when people speak. I don’t see anything when I read written words.

Listening to an audiobook gives me at least _some_ visual experience.
