Something I am thinking a lot about is the risk posed by the large concentration of pro-democracy media on Substack.

On the one hand, it facilitates those outlets growth, which is important.

On the other, it’s clear their investors are looking to maximize money and an eventual exit.

Dear hard working journo, looking away is NOT an option. Your work is deeply appreciated and highly valued. OK, now back to work.

You know it's a horrible budget when mainstream/centrist journalists implore followers to have their reps oppose the legislation. And to the other journalists who use the regime's term for the budget, just STOP it.

Climate change isn't just another political thing that Republicans and Democrats argue about. It's like immigration and healthcare and the January 6 insurrection. Gigantic life and death consequences. Lies on one side, facts on another. A plea to fellow journalists to take it seriously.
