10.10.2025 15:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0As a political philosopher, I am very moved to hear you say that. Not many outside of our field recognize his brilliance.

10.10.2025 14:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0OFFICIAL: Gianluigi Donnarumma vs Manchester United has won the Premier League's Save of the Month award for September. ๐ฎ๐น
10.10.2025 13:05 โ ๐ 18 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0He went down for a bit, but then played the rest of the game. So, I assume he's okay. But with him, who knows?

09.10.2025 18:45 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Well, we must have standards. As a philosophy professor, my other pet peeve is how people misuse the phrase "beg the question." In philosophy (the origin of the phrase), it means assume what you're trying to prove, but now it just means raises or prompts the question.
09.10.2025 18:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0My wife uses that phrase and it drives me crazy.
09.10.2025 18:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You need it for UCL matches.
09.10.2025 18:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So if they're just permitted to do so, then wouldn't their decision simply depend on whether they're motivated to do so?
09.10.2025 16:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Good question. Haven't read LoP in a long while. Is his argument that liberal people are permitted to enforce human rights or required to do so?

08.10.2025 23:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, seems like that it is often conflated.
08.10.2025 15:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I also have a chapter from my diss on this issue (I think it was called "Unreasonable Citizens and the Limits of Containment), but I don't think I can go back and be bothered to look at it again.
