Legion doesn't get enough hype. Like, it's my favorite show. And it's so hard to explain why to people who have never seen it. But like Dan Stevens is so sympathetic. And all the actors play their roles so straight. And there are so many absurd scenes that move the plot perfectly. So good.

And to give a case, I just replayed Bloodborne to get ready for Wuchang. And knowing the story from YouTube made the whole journey hype. But without that experience on my first playthrough, it was mostly lost on me and I think that's a fun downer. So I'm hoping for a new perspective to think about.

What does it for you? I feel like I get a bit of the story but have to go listen to YouTube to figure out what is actually going on. And that's the part I dislike. Are you able to figure out the main lore parts of the story on your own? Or is being awash in mystery super hype for you? What is it?

I've gone through them all and while I think there is something interesting about the story telling device, I also think that the versions if these games with coherent accessible stories like Lies of P and Sekiro are much better. You get the rad gameplay and a comprehensible story.

I think it's because people learn terms through practice not definition. A lot of people state that oppression requires power differentials, but when you ask why, they have no idea. I like Frye's view, but I think people should be familiar with the terms they use lest they get weird about using them

Hi! I feel this similarly and deeply. One thing that helped me was reading articles on anger and social change. It gave me a way to move from the emotion to an intellectual analysis and then back to the emotion. And that has made the constant stream of anger at antitrans bullshit a bit easier for me

I teach this paper in all of my race and ethics courses. It's nice in that it has a ton of implicit bias data combined with a succinct overview of the US legal history. I take it to be one of the most accessible arguments for the injustice of the death penalty, particularly for black defendants.
