I've never dealt with the UKCP but the notion that as a therapist you are free to impart your beliefs and values onto a potentially vulnerable patient really doesn't sit well with me.

I think you'll find this thread being entirely agreed with by any half-decent therapist (and decent ones too).

Best advice I never took was when I was 30 and on a massive career fast-track: You cannot cuddle with your career on a lonely night when your life is on the decline. Invest as much time on love and family. Sounded twee then. At 62 and near retirement, I now know it's 100% true.
