awesome! This was such a boy-scout Superman that he saved a squirrel in a down moment! I have several other thoughts about it, but I will say this one non-spoiler thing:

Anyone who is putting it down for being “woke” is TELLING on themselves so hard, and I don’t trust you AT ALL, yikes.

I do not watch movies in theatres often, never mind superhero ones, but I wanted to see the new Superman because what do you even mean it’s “woke“? (And also Christopher Reeve was one of my earliest crushes, and I want to see how anyone new compares.)

The rice-noodle sheets have been hand cut into narrower strips, lightly oiled so they shine in the light of the table lamp, and heaped into a rectangular Tupperware container.

Just made wide rice noodles from scratch for tomorrow’s chow fun dinner. First time making these noodles, and I had to improvise w 2 small loaf pans steaming in my water bath pot. The bottoms of the pans are not flat, so some noodles are a little bit thicker, but mostly I think I got it!

Well, my idea of a cult is that people are brainwashed or persuaded into doing things against their own self-preservation and interests, and sometimes to do harm to others. I think that sounds like a bad thing. The implication is gullibility or weakness, too.
