Softballs for Soon-Shiong Jon Stewart torched media executives for bowing to Trumpβ€”then handed Los Angeles Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong, one of the worst offenders, an unchallenging interview minutes later.

In essence, Jon Stewart on Monday night told people like LA Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong to β€œgo f**k yourself” for corporate cowardiceβ€”and then handed one of them a comfortable platform on national television minutes later. www.status.news/p/jon-stewar...

How Ozzy Osbourne became TV's most authentic dad on 'The Osbournes' When 'The Osbournes' premiered in 2002, we saw a different kind of TV family with a patriarch who wasn't afraid to curse, shout and strip away his rock star persona for millions of viewers.

Myself and @villarrealy.bsky.social wrote about why Ozzy Osbourne was one of the best TV dads. www.latimes.com/entertainmen...

I've been saying to friends for a few months that the more I study authoritarianism in other countries, the more concerned I become that the CBS story is the sleeping giant here. The process has been a simmer (people inside the network have spoken out in real-time) but don't mistake slow for safe.

In 'The Waterfront,' 'Dawson's Creek' creator Kevin Williamson returns to his gritty roots The main characters in Kevin Williamson's Netflix series are a multigenerational cast of adults whose lives are glossier and grittier than what audiences remember from the 'Dawson’s' gang.

I really enjoyed editing this profile of Kevin Williamson by @ashleyspencer.bsky.social. The creator of "Dawson's Creek" and "Scream" is channeling his family's story into the new Netflix series "The Waterfront" that's loosely based on his father. www.latimes.com/entertainmen...

Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody hope their 'out of the box' comedy gets new life at Tribeca The couple and co-writers Gideon Grody-Patinkin and Ewen Wright spoke about creating the pilot for "Seasoned," which premieres at Tribeca Festival on Sunday, and finding a new home for it.

During the height of the pandemic lockdowns, actors Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody began shooting videos for social media with their son, Gideon. That inspired "Seasoned," but the show was shelved.
