I would be very happy to see Ngumoha start over Salah on the right wing, I think it just suits him at this stage in his career more, being able to beat the man and get a ball in. Smart actually to move him there aswell

Ngumoha might be very well suited to the right hand side, similar to Frimpong, rather than 2 wingers constantly trying to cut inside, having one trying to get to the byline and get a ball in

Today shows why Slot doesn't particularly trust Jones and also why we probably want mane from wolves who plays a little central. Missing Wirtz massively with no replacement able to cause damage in that area, Jones whilst late in, poor and slow on the ball. Mac Allister isn't quite physical enough.

If Konate stays and I do think he does as slots mentioned the contact situation in interviews then I don't think we sign another CB not with Jacquet coming in the summer. Will be a right back, Tsimi comes back as back up LB. A midfielder and 2 wingers essentially.

I also think the players added this summer coming will be players that we have lacked, the recent players seem to have been building to a future that fit us, I think we see at least one pacy winger/forward which is what slot wants and a midfielder who can progress the ball naturally via passing

I agree it potentially does, however I assume we see more of Frimpong on the right wing next season with a right back coming in, meaning we see a versatile winger who can play left and right signed. I honestly think Konate stays so in theory it wouldn't be too much of turnover

I can see a world in where Liverpool tie down Szoboszlai to a new long term deal, sell Mac Allister and Salah in the summer, add a right back, a winger who can play either side, a midfielder with exceptional passing (Wharton) and role with a rotation of Wharton then Szoboszlai/Gravenberch/Jones

I think it's just down to age and building that understanding but he's also guilty of ball watching and losing focus which again is just age related.

Nyoni does the same to in terms of tracking back so no doubt they'll get there the next couple of years

Absolutely, I raised this point before, if we were dominating the league like last season and the game state in matches were far more controlled we'd see more of them

The reason the likes of Ngumoha and Nyoni aren't playing week in week out isn't because of their talent, it's the physical and mental side. They won't cope with the physical demands aswell because their bodies aren't fully developed, Ngumoha especially isn't anywhere near good enough off the ball

It's a constant TNT sports theme that they have this obsession with Robertson not playing more than Kerkez who's been really good for the past couple of months and Robertson was very poor last season

It's bizarre to me that people want Ngumoha to play a hell of a lot of minutes. There's countless examples of teenagers playing a large amount of minutes at the start of their career at the top level and by the time they should be in their peak years have been physically washed.

Absolutely agreed and they're overlooking a number of things and blame him for things such as transfers and squad building etc to. He guided us through a very tough spell and all in all since arsenal most the performances I've not been concerned with, they're rebuilding and it's getting there 100%

I agree I assume it must have been an ongoing issue, judging by the way slot has handled loss within the club it seems he holds conversations with the players and if Konate felt ready to play then he would trust that, he's backed him a lot to in the media it seems

If you want to know why Slot seems to be so well received by the powers that be at Liverpool then look no further on how he firstly handled the passing of Jota and then how he handled things with the passing of Konate. He truly must be a stand up guy behind the scenes that's for sure.

Absolutely, it makes you wonder how long running the issues with his dad's health were, seems to be a lot of props for how brilliantly slot has managed Konate to in those difficult times behind the scenes aswell
