Of course no mention that induced demand would make those gains short lived.🙄

While technically true, actual designated space (not bikeways) is only ~30km.

One thing I love in Calgary is that, while on street infrastructure remains contentious, basically nobody dislikes our remarkable pathway network. Taken on a #yycbike trip to the vet (which I am now being told I need a car for?)

I have grandchildren on the cusp of cycling downtown on their own, who are now being asked to do so without protection for longer. When did commute times and costs become more important than human lives? Mr. Hendsbee, I request that you vote against the Mayor's motion.

As an avid drivist, I hate this design because it takes away visual indications of where people on bikes are going (who are, y'know, using their hands to brake and navigate this bullshit instead of signaling)

So it appears that (despite the weirdness) this is to get the intersection ready to accommodate the 15th Ave mobility lane (cycle track)

Literally all I'm asking for is a multi-use path through a linear park with amenities for people and children and neighborhood connections next to a curb protected cycle track along every few streets throughout the whole city and inner suburbs. Is that too much?
