Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) The common language for platforms, agents and businesses.

For devs and CTOs: The goal is moving from human-readable sites to agent-executable APIs.

If your tech stack is still optimized for "10 blue links," you’re going to be invisible to the next generation of shoppers (the agents).

Check the docs at ucp.dev 4/4

The Walmart x Gemini/Google partnership is the first major proof of concept.

By using an open standard, Google is basically building the "Open Web's" response to Amazon’s walled garden. Retailers stay the Merchant of Record, but the AI handles the friction. 3/4

UCP is an open protocol that lets AI agents (like Gemini) talk directly to retail backends.

It’s not just "AI search", it’s Embedded Checkout.

No more redirects.

Agents check real-time stock/loyalty points.

Transaction happens via a bi-directional handshake. 2/4

Google’s UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) announcement at NRF 2026 is a bigger deal than the headlines suggest. We are officially moving from "Search" to "Action."

The "Add to Cart" button isn't dead yet, but it’s becoming optional. Here’s why the shift to Agentic Commerce matters. 1/4

Now that this is officially a feature of Google search, the meme can finally be laid to rest.

Best phishing email scam I've seen in a while that is specifically targeting users with anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiment... rage-baiting them to log-in so they don't have a pride banner on their emails. #sendgrid

Screenshot of Linkedin post from Google Search Central: Today we released the March 2025 core update to Google Search.

This is a regular update designed to better surface relevant, satisfying content for searchers from all types of sites. We also continue our work to surface more content from creators through a series of improvements throughout this year. Some have already happened; additional ones will come later.

2025 March Core Update: Will it be as fun as 2024's March Core Update? It's too soon to tell, but it was not accompanied by a blog post on the Google Search Central blog, so I doubt this one will take 42 days to roll out like the one last year.

My 6 year old uses the term a lot when we call my mom, so she knows it has a positive connotation, and I think that’s all that matters to her!

My oldest daughter made her grandma (my mom) a birthday cake, and she wrote β€œSigma” on it. That is all.

Google Business Profile Broken Appointment Link Notifications Google is emailing some businesses when it detects that their Google Business Profile appointment link is not working. Google's email says, "Fix your business Google link."

Google is reaching out to businesses when it identifies that the appointment link on their Google Business Profile is broken or not functioning properly.
