Since the subject of the decline of Crunchyroll is on the menu, my personal hottake is that while the Sony buyout has been the biggest blow to their quality as an anime streaming service/licensor, the decline of Crunchyroll as a brand probably started when they got sold to AT&T and Warner

Yeah, it definitely takes its time to go through things, and has some interesting languid moments, but it also felt like it could have been structured better. Some really great visual momenst throughout though.

And finally bringing this series to a close. I hate when a whole series drops at once.

Watari-kun just makes me feel a bit uneasy at times, for example.

It's why I gravitate toward college and working-age character stories more. but there are so few.

Plus, I'm already at the point where I like adult material, but it's gotten squickier over the years because I could always say, "the characters are at least older than my kids"

But now my kids are post-college and that's just absolutely messing with me. It's half the reasons HS romcoms feel off.

I kept looking at my comics pulllist and was like, where my books?

I really wish more of the adult anime that gets produced wasn't filled with nonconsensual material. I get it, I get the reasons why it's popular, but it just makes me enjoy hentai manga more since you can find so much without that.

Mostly, I'm just glad it's done. Unlikely to come back for more.

yeah, I can see that too. Some of it felt like a sitcom where the laugh track was like a second delayed and it was noticeable.

I try to allow for some cultural differences in stuff like this in how comedy and humor is perceived tho.
